Why OpenVPN and IKEv2 get blocked

Classic VPN protocols have recognizable fingerprints and use known ports. Deep packet inspection (DPI) spots them in seconds and drops the connection. VLESS with Reality makes your tunnel look like an ordinary HTTPS visit to a real website, so there’s nothing to flag.

What to do

  1. In the RealVPN app: switch to VLESS

    Open Settings → Select VPN Protocol → VLESS and reconnect.

  2. Can’t install or open the app? Use a VLESS client

    Generate a VLESS link on Manual VPN setup and import it into Hiddify or V2RayTun: Windows, macOS, iPhone/iPad, Android, Linux.

  3. Try a few locations

    If one server is blocked, others usually aren’t. Nearby countries are faster.

Save a VLESS config before you travel — it’s much easier to set up while you still have open internet.
